Emails - The Pelvic Expert - Setting up an email filter

Welcome! We’re so excited to have you join!

First, you’ll want to set up an email filter for all the emails you’ll be receiving during your subscription. Unfortunately pelvic health issues are still considered taboo and emails we send out regarding women's health advice can trigger spam filters in your mailbox.

IMPORTANT: Set Up An Email Filter

I recommend setting up an email filter… to ensure you don’t miss any of our emails, especially during an event. Here’s how to do that:

Gmail

One of the simplest ways to move an email message into the primary inbox, is to left-click and hold on the email and drag it from the promotions/updates/social tab over to the Primary tab. Releasing the mouse will drop the email into the primary tab. After it is dropped, Gmail will ask if you wish to make the change permanent. Select Yes

To filter emails:

Step 1: Select the dropdown
Step 2: Select settings
Step 3: Select filters and block addresses tab
Step 4: Click create a new filter
Step 5: In the From field , Type in the email [email protected]
Step 6: Select create filter with this search >>
STep 7: Mark Never send it to spam
Step 8: (Optional) Mark Apply the label, then create new label and call it "The Pelvic Expert", click Create
STep 9: Mark "Also apply filter to matching conversations"
Step 10: Click "Create Filter'

Yahoo Mail

To ensure delivery: Create a filter to automatically send email from Heba Shaheed to your Inbox.

- Move your mouse over or tap the Gear icon in the top right navigation bar.
- Select Settings from the list that drops down.
- Choose Filters located on the left side of the page.
- Click the Add button on the Filters page.
- Create a name such as Whitelist in the Filter name field.
- In the From field leave the default contains selected.
- Enter our email address [email protected] in the text box next to Contains...
- Choose the destination folder to which you would like the message delivered. For example: Inbox.
- Click or tap Save...
- You will see in the next screen -Deliver to Inbox if From contains Heba Shaheed
- Click or tap Save on this screen.
- You will be returned to your Yahoo! Inbox.

Outlook 365

To add Heba Shaheed to you list of "Safe senders" on Outlook:

- Right click our email in your Inbox email list pane.
- On the menu displayed move your mouse over or tap Junk
- Click or tap on Never block sender in the menu that rolls out.
- The resulting popup will say:
- "The sender of the selected message has been added to your Safe Senders List."
- Click OK

To add sender to address book:

- Open the email
- Right click on the from address
- Choose Add to contacts option

Outlook [Hotmail/Windows Live/MSN]

To ensure messages from specific email addresses are not sent to your Junk Email folder, you can do one of two things:

- Check the Junk folder. If you see the Heba Shaheed email in your Inbox
- Open the email from Heba Shaheed...
- Click the "Wait it's safe" link

Mark Sender as "Wait it's safe!

Manually Add to Safe List

- Click gear the icon on the top right.
- Select Options in the drop down list.
- On the Options page under Preventing junk email click Safe and blocked senders
- Click the link Safe senders on the next page.
- Enter the email address [email protected] in the text box.
- Click Add to list
- Heba Shaheed will now be added to your list of Safe senders
- Emails added to your Safe senders will not be delivered by mistake to your Junk folder.
